Death Puts Focus On Caffeine Powder Dangers - The Dispatch
By danikasugi, 10:57

It makes no sense to me." Federal investigations have recently prompted some companies to pull products with added caffeine. Last year, Wrigley halted sales and marketing of Alert caffeinated gum after discussions with the FDA. In 2010, the agency forced manufacturers of alcoholic caffeinated beverages to cease production of those drinks. Authorities have also pledged to take action if they are able to link deaths to consumption of energy drinks. Hospitalizations from those drinks have been on the rise. The number of emergency department visits involving energy drinks doubled -- from 10,068 visits in 2007 to 20,783 visits in 2011, according to the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Most of the cases involved teens or young adults. A full teaspoon of caffeine powder could contain 3,200 milligrams of caffeine. Mark Farinella answers 5 pressing questions as Patriots open camp - The Sun Chronicle : Patriots

Did we mention the sense of accomplishment? There are two routes to the top, but for a more interesting view and test of athletic ability, opt for the Ski Hut Trail. Think of it as Mother Natures stair climber, offering up an intense vertical ascent for the majority of the trek up. Pack some snacks and lots of water to enjoy when you get to the top, with the option to take the ski lifts back down at the halfway point descent (get tickets from the ski shack). Best to enjoy in the summer or fall; be sure to get an Adventure Pass to display in your car for parking in Angeles Crest Forest recreational areas.

About Broncos training camp at Dove Valley - The http://www.prweb.com/releases/2013/10/prweb11222047.htm Denver Post

The departures of Brandon Spikes and Dane Fletcher through free agency seriously reduced the veteran depth available in the position group. What's left is a potpourri of youngsters, rookies and free agents that may be added to and subtracted from several times during the course of camp - and maybe well into the season. The addition of ex-Panther and Bear James Anderson should provide a bump up in experience if he's got something left. Otherwise, it's uncertain if Chris White, Steve Beauharnais, Ja'Gared Davis, Darius Fleming, Cameron Gordon, Josh Hull, Taylor McCuller or Deontae Skinner will become household names, of if others will glide through training camp until the coaches are satisfied with what's left standing on the first week of September.
